Meet Mike Campbell

Mike Campbell’s career in the flooring industry started with humble beginnings in 2000 with Stanley Steemer servicing commercial flooring and cleaning residential homes. It was clear from the start that Mike was great at connecting with clients and building relationships to earn their business. He became a crew chief in a few months time and became one of the top 3 salesman for the 23-crew branch servicing the greater Orlando area. In the slow time after the holiday rush, work would slow down and Mike decided to join a flooring installation crew to fill in the open time he had available. In short time his skills in the floor installation business began to grow and before a year and half could expire he was figuring out how to start his company.

This would turn into a 24 year graduation from installing basic to intermediate laminate, vinyl, wood and tile to becoming educated in wood floor advanced installation, refinishing, moisture midigation and sub floor preparation. At this point in Mike’s career he was determined to grow his knowledge in the industry. He began to engage in training year after year in factory training, NWFA certification classes and warehouse product knowledge classes to broaden his knowledge in products and procedures. His implementation of his growth through training and education helped his company to grow into having a small store in Downtown Orlando and working with designers and custom builders to meet the clients expectations.

Throughout Mike’s career he has in addition to running his company, became a retail salesman at a successful flooring company in Central Florida, offered free lance outside distribution sales, managed a remodeling company and ran a spray in polyurea bedliner and protection company. In early 2025 Mike was asked from a close business acquaintance if he was interested in a full time position as a territory manager for a well established flooring distributor throughout the southeast, William M. Bird. After speaking with his family Mike decided to throw his name in the hat and send in a resume. After careful evaluation of Mike’s experience, sales skills and work ethic, the leadership with William M. Bird brought Mike on as their representative for the greater Central Florida territory as a sales manager mid 2025. Mike is dedicated to his customers and offering solutions for many different flooring applications and needs. He has begun to lay the ground work of relationship building and consistency to serve his flooring community for many years to come with the William M. Bird family of companies.

In Mikes life away from work he prides himself in being a loving husband, father and provider for his immediate and distant family. He loves to spend time with his children in many of their life journeys including coaching their sports teams, assisting youth activities and keeping them focused on education for the betterment of their lives. He also enjoys classic cars, working on projects, fishing, gardening and motorcycles. Thank you for taking a look at what Mike Campbell has done in his career and what type of person he is.
